Mike Wise’s name came up consistently as did a few others. I called and spoke with probably 5 of the top 10 lawyers in the Sacramento area. Many of them seemed very competent and capable. What was missing was a human connection, empathy. Mike not only knows the law as well as any lawyer, but he knows how to speak and communicate with people. That is just as important if not more when someone is arguing on your behalf. Our case was small compared to what they usually take on. Minor felony or more likely a misdemeanor. That did not matter to Mike and his office. His office understood right away that we were stressed, and highly anxious over the situation. If Mike did not call us directly he had Connie, another superstar, from his office call to update us. Our case took a little over a month to resolve. In that time, we heard from Mike or his office each week. Sometimes more if there were updates. In the end, Mike got our case dismissed by the prosecutor. Our case was an honest misunderstanding of which we had no criminal intent. However, it could have gone a very different way. Mike was able to convince the prosecutor of this fact to prevent a trial, which saved us countless dollars and more importantly, all the stress and anxiety. Mike is now our Lawyer. I cannot say enough about their professionalism, and empathy.
