Firm Information
Overview
From our Sacramento office, in California, we represent employees throughout the capital region who have been wronged at work. We take on wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, sexual and other harassment, retaliation, denial of protected medical or other leave, and unpaid wages and benefits. We also bring class and representative actions when employers’ unlawful practices impact many workers across an organization or industry.
Daniel Richardson, our firm’s principal, previously represented large employers, including Fortune 500 companies and major international employment law firms. That experience provides us with a practical understanding of how corporate defense teams evaluate claims, structure investigations, and litigate in state and federal court. We now bring that perspective to bear for employees, using it to anticipate defenses, gather the evidence that matters and build strong legal strategies on behalf of workers.
Given Sacramento’s role as the state capital and home to numerous government agencies and large employers, we are prepared to handle the complexities often present in cases involving public and private sector employers alike. We are familiar with the administrative processes at state agencies, local court practices in Sacramento County, and the procedural nuances that can shape effective representation.
The employment law services we provide include claims brought under state and federal statutes and administrative proceedings before relevant agencies. We evaluate the legal and practical goals of each client to determine whether administrative filing, negotiation or litigation is the best path. Remedies we pursue can include back pay, reinstatement where appropriate, statutory penalties, injunctive relief to stop unlawful practices, and recovery for unpaid wages and benefits.
We take cases on a contingency basis – there are no attorney fees unless we obtain a recovery for you. We provide a free initial consultation so you can understand your rights and potential next steps. We do not offer virtual appointments; we meet with clients in person. We accept credit cards for client convenience.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
