Annie Ruttenber - San Diego, CA

Garwood Reeves is proud to welcome Attorney Erin “Annie” Ruttenber to our family law team. Annie received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy from the University of Northern Colorado. Annie’s passion for family law and helping clients in need began while working for a child welfare agency in Hawaii. Annie quickly became a trained mediator and volunteered at Mediation Services of Maui, where she assisted parties in resolving their legal issues without litigation. Knowing she wanted to practice family law.

Annie went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the City University of New York Law School with a concentration in Family Law. During law school, Annie further enhanced her knowledge of family law by clerking for two Family Court Judges. She also interned for the Legal Aid Society and the Children’s Law Center, where she assisted clients with their family law matters. Annie moved to San Diego, California upon her law school graduation, and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law ever since. Annie helps clients with dissolution of marriage, separation, property division, custody and visitation, spousal support and child support, and domestic violence restraining orders. Annie’s early mediation experience has proven an invaluable tool in assisting her family law litigants today. In her spare time, Annie is an avid tennis player and fosters kittens from Helen Woodward Animal Center.
