Jacob Kim - San Jose, CA

Well-versed in the practice of family law, Jacob Kim has been with the Law Offices of Steven A. Dinneen P.C. since 2023 first as a law clerk, then becoming an associate attorney. His education, career, and family law experience have made him an impressive member of the firm.

Jacob is committed to assisting families in navigating challenging paths, making informed decisions, and successfully transitioning into the next phase of their lives.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob interned at two other family law firms where he gained experience in all aspects of family law. Throughout law school, he was a member of the Family Law Society, Family Law and Domestic Violence clinic, and Honors Moot Court, where he argued at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In addition, Jacob took several classes on trial advocacy taught by local judges and received a CALI Excellence award in Community Property, which is given to the student with the highest grade in the class.

His attention to detail and preparation on cases creates a holistic approach to maximize efficiency in getting clients results.

Having grown up in the Bay Area, Jacob moved to southern California to receive his B.A. from Pepperdine University majoring in Political Science with an emphasis in Economics and Writing. While in college, he took classes at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law earning a Certificate in Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution, specializing in mediation and negotiation. He returned to the Bay Area and pursued his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.

Apart from his practice of family law, Jacob can be found spending time with friends and family, playing golf, or coaching the Santa Clara Men’s Ice Hockey team.
