Hired Attorney 2023-2025Even after winning an unbelievable settlement, he continued to facilitate the allocation of the funds to better help our situation. Adam stayed guiding me and my sons through to the very end. Even when our case had to be passed down to another lawyer that would take care of the next steps, he helped me understand the paperwork that I was asked to submit. He filled in when the other lawyer fell short, editing crucial paperwork, so there would be nothing to prevent the long waited outcome. His time estimates proved to be extremely accurate. You can tell he knows what he is doing. He has a way of reading individual (lawyers, judges and court staff) pin pointing their next move. Surely, that comes from dealing with them and building positive relationships. They must know he is a no nonsense type of individual that will not be intimidated or manipulated to better serve them. I am extremely happy with the iron clad trust stipulations that he designed for my boys to be able to use their funds to benefit their livelihood. He not only looked out for their present being, but for their future as well. Thank you Adam and staff, I pray that you and yours are happy and blessed.

Hired Attorney 2022-2024It’s been an honor to work alongside Adam Carlson and the firm. My experience was beyond seamless! During my entire case, Adam gave me the reassurance and guidance that I needed. I had experienced a life-altering injury due to a faulty staircase and doctors told me I had a long recovery ahead. Adam would check in on my healing process regularly and really made sure that I was getting the best care during my recovery. The settlement that I received was more than I could have ever imagined. This settlement has given me the resources to work with doctors outside of my medical coverage and get the rehabilitation I have been needing. Because of Adam, I am quite literally back on my feet and back to doing the activities I love.

Hired Attorney 2020-2023In July of 2020, I retained Adam Carlson of Casper, Meadows, Schwartz, & Cook for a civil lawsuit due to an injury I had sustained in August of 2018. This was my second experience with an Attorney after I had been through a Worker's Comp case from 2018 through 2021. From our initial meeting, Mr. Carlson clearly showed that he was caring, intelligent, thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. Throughout the entire process, there was constant communication and explanation of all proceedings. Providing additional support to Adam and me (in a personal context) was his Legal Assistant, Michelle Estrada. On a few occasions, I spoke with her and she let me express my feelings regarding certain issues. My case recently has settled and I am more than pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Adam Carlson and his firm to anyone seeking professional council for their litigation needs. He and his firm exemplify professionalism and competency which is more than can be said regarding the defendants he dealt with during my case. Lisa Court

Hired Attorney 2014-2020I first learned about Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook back in 2014. I was in a severe accident that left me in the hospital. I was in Foster care at the time where they referred me to them. While I was in foster care I had strict guidelines that Adam knew and thought of great ideas that left me with a good check of change once I graduated from the foster system! I still to this day have a great relationship with Adam and his whole team as they have never steered me the wrong way and have been helping me since I was 19. I am now 26 and they have been there when I need them! Not only did they help me with other Legal case advice they did it because I continue to bring them Business with referrals. They treat me like family! And having a firm who treats you like that is the one to do business with! I fully give them my 100% endorsement!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
