Hired Law firm 2023-2024I was introduced to Scott's office after a family tragedy. I'll keep this short: If you are looking for a rare blend of expertise and compassion, this is the team you want in your corner. They took the time and they overdelivered. Grateful for their help in bringing financial resolution in a terrible circumstance. Thank you to the whole team.

Hired Law firm 2019-2020I had a severe bicycle accident after hitting a pothole in the City of Benicia in 2019. I was referred to Scott from another personal injury attorney in my office suite. Before the accident, I was also working as a personal injury attorney. I was told that Scott specializes in bicycle and motorcycle personal injury and that I would be better served with Scott. My case was not cut and dry and it had its weaknesses. I knew that juries also don't like bicyclists or motorcyclists. In addition, Covid hit in 2020, which delayed my case. In the meantime, I had to take early retirement from a lucrative practice due to the brain injury I sustained. Scott and his team were compassionate. They worked diligently and aggressively on my case. Scott kept me informed throughout the litigation. We recently successfully mediated the case, obtained a satisfactory dollar value for my pain and suffering and lost wages. I wholeheartedly recommend Scott and his office for his professionalism, knowledge, diligence, and aggression in pursuit of my case.

Hired Law firm 2024-2025I could not have asked for a better lawyer. I was kept informed and update, as well as being treated well. I would absolutely use their services again. I could not recommend enough. 20/20 I wish I could score them higher.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
