Recommendation

I recommend Ron Stitch's legal services to anyone who is looking for honesty and efficiency. Mr. Stitch performed every duty necessary in completing the difficult task of the dissolution of a marriage. Divorce is one of the top stressor's in one's life, yet it occurs far more often than we would wish it to. If it becomes an inevitable part of your life, it's imperative the dissolution not take every bit of dignity that may be left between 2 people. I found that Ron Stitch's demeanor with my husband and me was one of complete professionalism, and compassion. He had just the right degree of "bedside manner", and researched matters he wasn't completely sure of, until he found the answers to our questions. He completed the task of unwinding several decades of marriage, in a quick and orderly manner. I would, and have, recommended him to friend's and family. I recommend him to you, the one who is reading this review.

Recommendation

I hired Ron Stitch and (Stephanie O'Connor) to handle a Request for Modification of an Order for Support. There were a lot of details and subpoenas involved, and all were handled efficiently and effectively. I was always kept updated on the status of the case, and was given an honest assessment of what the outcome might be; all scenarios were discussed and I felt confident that they always had my best interests in mind. We were very successful in Court and achieved our desired outcome. I would highly recommend this Law Firm for your family law case.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
