    Hired Law firm 2023
This comprehensive, alleged complaint against Michael E. Teplintsky and his law firm, Family First Law, P.P., details a series of deeply concerning issues that have collectively marred their experience as clients and their existence as faithful citizens of California with limited capacity to counter predation alone: Throughout the handling of one divorce case, Michael initially quoted $4,000 for legal services. However, the process was needlessly prolonged, and the firm subsequently demanded an additional $5000, attributing the extended period as justification for the increased fee. This abrupt escalation in costs without transparent reasoning reflects dishonest and exploitative practices. The firm demonstrated a pervasive pattern of neglect and incompetence in advocating for a client's interests. Critical aspects of the case, such as the equitable division of community debt, were mishandled, resulting in unnecessary delays and financial burdens. Internal disorganization within the firm further exacerbated a client's challenges. Miscommunications and a lack of coordination among attorneys overseeing the case led to a disjointed legal strategy, undermining efforts to achieve a timely and satisfactory resolution. Financial exploitation was evident as a client incurred exorbitant fees totaling $17,000, despite minimal progress or tangible outcomes. The firm's prioritization of financial gain over client advocacy underscored their disregard for fair and transparent billing practices. Recently, the firm's unprofessional conduct reached a new low when baseless accusations of elder abuse were levied against a client. This unwarranted action caused significant distress and damage to a client's reputation, reflecting a lack of integrity and ethical standards within the firm. A client's experience with Michael and his law firm can be profoundly disappointing and eternally damaging. From allegations of unjustified fee escalations to negligence in legal representation and unprofessional conduct, the firm's actions have resulted in financial hardship and emotional turmoil. When patterns emerge from these outcomes in aggregate, prospective clients may note how thoroughly Michael lathers these sphincters of deception with fair dealing assurances such that the immaculate taints of prospective clients - like you – won’t acclimate in time to fear the f$$king that’s become a Family First Law. Visit most any review site and prospective clients will encounter any number of human beings recounting their experiences – perceived experiences, yes, alongside often empirical outcomes. Users of review services will find themselves meticulously reminded that honorable consumers of such information strive to strike from consideration any alarmingly common content from their non-anonymous, flayed-open peers while placing value across the same alarmingly common content by their alleged destroyer. As you consider the considerers and their considerings, I urge you to concede as we do, that although correlation remains unequal to causation, case outcomes shaped by the operations of Family First Law, P.P. and Michael do add credibility to the rumor “Family First Law” was no branding invention, but a recruitment tool…

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
