Hired Law firm 2018-2023Allen Vellone is one of the best law firms you can hire in the US. On par with Holland and Knight. The value comes from Vandana herself. She is responsive, understanding, caring, explains everything in detail, including anticipated costs. Lawsuits, trusts, business formation and agreements, IP rights, etc. I trust her with my life and three businesses I operate. Anything negative is bull crap...

Hired Law firm 2022We retained Mrs. Vanda Koelsch from this firm. Although we cannot speak to the other Attorneys over there besides Mr. Vellone. Our experience with Mrs. Koelsch was profoundly unprofessional. Koelsch used bait and switch tactics from the very beginning and waiting until the 11th hour before sending her fee agreement with terms not agreed upon. From there we tried to make the relationship work but all she did was take one deceptive action after another and got into a bizarre temper tantrum after we declined her out of the blue demand for $40k to attend mediation. We declined that demand as we still had an active retainer with the firm. After which her communication was so bad that she kept repeating my first name at the end of every sentence like a condescending 13 year old. When we tried to get an adult in the room Mr. Vellone himself joined in an the antics and threatened to share our private emails in their motion to withdraw to taint the court's perception. I do not recommend.

Hired Law firm 2020Brenton, Lance, & Pat must be held accountable if I go missing or anything bad happens to me. They are fully aware that my life is in danger. I was newly diagnosed w/Crohn's autoimmune. During a worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. This firm sadly does not honor their contracts nor agreements. Only executing two steps our signed agreement (which included 3 other projects). However, they gladly billed me $8k. Brenton happily, lead me RIGHT into the line of fire, by promising "We will write internal affairs a letter for you." In order to give me a false sense of confidence & safety of my own life and successful hair business. Brenton easily fibbed before that "We will write a letter to the Denver PD headquarters. Asking them to transfer your case to another dept. That is not a conflict of interest. If they do not comply, we will go to the news." he lied just to create a false sense of safety and he unconsciously escalated the danger I am in.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
