Hired Law firm 2020Hired her to represent me in a custody case; we didn’t get the desired outcome. I believe it was because of laziness and also simply poor skills in presenting the case. She wasn’t prepared enough and it resulted in a loss. She didn’t take any responsibility for her lack of preparedness, and was nasty and defensive in response. Find another lawyer for custody cases; should have known better than to use someone who does personal injury law..

Hired Law firm 2021This law firm was a God send for me and my family. There's a reason why they have so many great reviews. They really mean it when they say they approach your case like family. I worked with Autumn who was honest, fair, direct, logical, practical and didn't back down from a fight. She helped me navigate the perspectives and possibilities of possible scenarios in my case, saving me money where she could at every step. I am so grateful for her legal guidance through a very emotionally difficult time. I have recommended and will continue to recommend them to anyone needing a family attorney.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
