Consulted Attorney 2024He provided no service or feedback - we paid him $200 and he spent less than 40 minutes of the full hour on the phone repeating he’d send a letter but never once mentioned it would cost us $600+ ($600 was the base plus his hourly fee) and he never gave us any advice on how to fix our situation, what our rights were or anything. Scummy scam artist stealing peoples money.

Hired Attorney 2022Lawyer Mark Fenton has delivered precise work and he is honest cost-effective I appreciate lawyers who do their job and Mark Phantom not only did his job but because of his experience was able to resolve a large lawsuit that could’ve had negative impacts not only in my personal life but in my business expenditures if you need anyone that knows the law and knows how to defend you Mark Phantom is the one you need to go with. I myself am in the business of customer service and I appreciate that he was able to help me out in this legal matter and I was able to focus on my career as he resolved my legal matters. I was very fortunate I did not need to waste productive time and energy on the phone back-and-forth …none of that ; because Mark Fenton lawyer did his job and I was quick to analyze that he was direct, strong , firm, and short to the point allowing me to go back to work without being worried or stressed … easy, easy , communication. I was able to sleep knowing that things would be resolved just like Mark Fenton told me. In the world of so many legal matters where sometimes a poor choice, bad mistake or a misjudgment can cause a major financial or career setback this is why experience is a must, to be able to be properly represented. I am grateful for Mark Fenton‘s abilities, experience, dedication, eagerness, and most of all caring for the fate of his clients. Thank you, Mark Phantom and thank you, for not causing me to be more stressed I appreciate your precise communication that was short and specific without the complex of all the legalities and this is what I expect from a professional. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
