Audrey D. Burns - Denver, CO

Audrey is an Associate Attorney in Ciancio Ciancio Brown’s Family Law practice group, where she brings a deep understanding of domestic relations and commitment to client advocacy. Prior to joining the firm, Audrey served as a judicial law clerk in the Denver District Court for the Honorable Anita M. Schutte in a domestic relations docket, where she gained firsthand insight into the judicial decision-making process in matters involving divorce, child custody, support, and complex family dynamics.

Her experience working closely with judges and legal professionals in high-conflict and emotionally sensitive cases has equipped her with a unique perspective and strategic approach to family law. During her clerkship, Audrey drafted a wide spectrum of orders, analyzed case law, and frequently interacted with practitioners and litigants, laying a strong foundation for her transition into private practice.

Audrey earned her J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia, PA, largely pursuing business and transactional law. She also participated in the school’s Estate Planning Clinic, where she assisted clients with drafting wills, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney.

This experience deepened her understanding of how legal planning intersects with family dynamics, especially during life transitions. This background allows Audrey to bring a holistic approach to family law, addressing both the legal and financial implications that often arise in family-related matters.

Growing up in southeastern Pennsylvania, Audrey first moved to Colorado in January 2023 for an externship during her last semester of law school. This experience solidified her decision to live and practice in the Centennial State. In her free time, Audrey enjoys cheering on her Philadelphia-based sports teams, skiing, running, reading, and cooking.
