Attorney Information

Overview

Lindsey M. Hanselman is an associate attorney at Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C. and is a member of the Family Law Team. Lindsey developed a passion for family law during her childhood. Growing up, Lindsey’s family fostered numerous kids, giving her a unique perspective of children’s involvement in the legal system. This background led Lindsey to attend the University of Denver and graduate with a double major in socio-legal studies and psychology and a minor in philosophy. Combined with her personal observations of children in the foster care system, Lindsey’s background with psychology has given her unique insight into cases with issues involving child development, substance abuse, mental health, and domestic violence.

Lindsey graduated in the top of her class from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. During law school, Lindsey earned a spot on the top 10 ranking National Trial Team and served on the board of the Student Trial Lawyer Association. Through these experiences, Lindsey developed strong litigation and court room skills. She placed first in two national competitions and was awarded best closing argument and best overall advocate. Lindsey now brings those same skills to her practice with Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C. While Lindsey strives to find new and creative ways to reach a settlement that best serves an individual family, she can zealously advocate for her clients in the courtroom when necessary. Lindsey is prepared to prioritize the process that best serves each client’s needs.

During law school, Lindsey served as an intern for two judges in the Arapahoe County District Court and worked in appeals for both the Arapahoe County District Attorney and the Colorado Attorney General. Through these internships she honed her research and writing skills. Lindsey then made the transition into family law where, as an intern, she assisted on numerous Child and Family Investigations and learned how to handle complex child custody cases. After graduating law school, Lindsey began practicing in all areas of family law, including complex custody cases and high-income divorces. Lindsey recognizes that her clients are often going through some of the most difficult times in their lives and approaches each case with compassion and understanding.

Lindsey also volunteers with Metro Volunteer Lawyers, helping assist those who cannot afford representation through their family law cases. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys reading, spending time with her dogs, and traveling.
