Overview

Mary is a Senior Associate Attorney at GEM Family Law, practicing in all areas of family law. Mary is passionate about advocating for her clients and helping them minimize the stress that often comes with navigating a family law matter.

Mary received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School, graduating at the top of her class and earning membership in the Order of the Coif, a distinction earned only by the top 10 percent of law school graduates.

During law school, Mary sought out opportunities to build experience in family law. She worked as a Student Attorney in the University of Colorado Juvenile and Family Law Clinic, representing clients in divorce, dependency and neglect, and juvenile delinquency cases. Mary also completed internships with Metro Volunteer Lawyers, a Denver family law firm, and the 20th Judicial District. After graduation, Mary worked as an Associate Attorney for a Denver family law firm before joining GEM.

An avid writer, Mary earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree in English, with a minor in Business Administration, at Creighton University, and graduated summa cum laude. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Mary was awarded the Creighton University Undergraduate Scholarly Writing Award and the O'Toole Award for Creative Non-fiction Writing. Mary employs her persuasive writing skills to advocate for her clients.

Mary has experience representing clients in highly contested cases involving divorce, child custody, and protection orders. Mary is passionate about helping her clients work through the myriad issues that arise in family law matters, and she is dedicated to providing a compassionate and personalized experience for each of her clients.
