Through the leadership of this preeminent professional association for African American attorneys, she has provided strategic advocacy and leadership for professionals of color.

In 2021, Ms. Jones was named by Colorado U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper as co-chair of an advisory committee that will recommend candidates for the US District Court in Colorado. She was previously appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter to a six-year term as Nomination Commissioner to nominate Justices to the Colorado Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals. Ms. Jones was recognized in 2021 by the Denver Business Journal as one of Colorado’s Outstanding Women in Business based on her leadership, contributions, and innovations within her organization in addition to her community involvement.

Additionally, she dedicates her time and energy to the greater Denver community through her position on the Board of Directors for the University of Colorado Hospital Authority. As a businessperson with legal training, she is a key member of the board of UC Health and the board of University of Colorado Hospital on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Ms. Jones was a founding board member of the American Transplant Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating donor awareness and increased organ donations in Colorado and nationwide.

Ms. Jones obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1987 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1991. She is a member of the California State and Colorado State Bars.
