Overview
Laura Moore joined the firm in October of 2011, and has practiced law in Colorado since October of 1993. Raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota, she appreciates the friendly, small town law firm. A proud CU Buff, she graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in May of 1987. Ms. Moore received her law degree from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon in May of 1993. Ms. Moore is a published member of the Willamette Law Review. Ms. Moore is a member of the Colorado and Boulder County Bar Associations.
Past community activities included volunteer work at Niwot Elementary, and service on the board of directors and executive committee of the Niwot High School Education Foundation. Ms. Moore volunteers as a scoring judge for the State High School Mock Trial Competitions. Ms. Moore also served as a mentor and judge for the Brighton Teen Court program. Ms. Moore volunteers for senior law events including Boulder County’s Senior Law Day. Ms. Moore has been a guest speaker at Google on the topic of Special Needs Trusts for adults with disabilities.
Ms. Moore enjoys choral singing. She is a past singing member of the CU Collegiate Chorale and the Boulder Chorale, where she served on their board of directors, grant writing and executive committees, and chaired the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. Currently, Ms. Moore sings with the Coal Creek Community Chorus.
Ms. Moore and her husband Tom are the adoptive parents of Teddy, an English Cream Golden Retriever, rescued from a breeding farm in Ohio.
