Firm Information

Overview

Speaking with a Colorado lawyer about your legal needs should not be intimidating. At Warren Moore Rutherford, LLP, we are dedicated to cultivating a friendly and welcoming environment for our clients, from historic Niwot photos on the walls to the Holiday cards we send out every year. Our attorneys may wear suits in court, but not around the office.

We genuinely care about what happens to our clients and make this clear by treating them like our friends and neighbors. The firm has been a part of the Niwot-Gunbarrel-Longmont-Boulder community since 1975, and our lawyers and staff serve on local boards, volunteer at community events, and coach local youth sports teams.

While our attorneys and paralegals have received many awards from professional and community organizations over the years, we also take pride in the fact that when other attorneys need personal legal services, they turn to Warren Moore Rutherford for advice they can trust at a reasonable cost. We count over 50 attorneys from outside our office among the clients we have served over the years.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
