Verified ClientHired Attorney 2018-2019My family was dealt a difficult situation with the passing of my wife in March a few years ago. Shortly after her passing I was taken to court by my wife's mother. We never had issues before the unfortunate passing, however that quickly changed as she didn't agree with my wishes to move out of the state. This I believe was the best situation to raise my child and I believe that even more so during this pandemic. It started when she made false claims in an attempt to take away the right I had to raising my daughter. This obviously came as a shock to me as during difficult times families are suppose to come together, not divide! During this difficult time I searched for an attorney that would help with this very sensitive situation and it was clear once I came across attorney Raymond that he would not only look out for myself, but more importantly my daughter who was the one that mattered most in this particular case. My experience with attorney Tyler Raymond and the professionalism he showed throughout the duration of my proceedings was nothing short of incredible. He put the needs of my daughter first and helped us come up with a visitation agreement that was sensitive to the situation. He also helped as an advisor sharing several possibilities with an amicable outcome that once again served the best interest of my daughter. I couldn't have been more pleased with the guidance and assistance of attorney Raymond at my side and would recommend his services to anyone who would listen. Thank you once again for your help Tyler Raymond. The only regret I have now is that you don't provide services in my new home state of Florida.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2018-2020I highly recommend Tyler. I value objective advice and strategy based upon the facts and merits of a situation, which is what Tyler provided. His extensive experience in Family Court informed our legal strategy, which was practical and attainable. I particularly appreciated his time and patience helping me come to a better understanding of my objectives of custody litigation, which helped me avoid an unnecessary long and expensive litigation process. His fees and my trust were well earned and deserved.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
