Consulted Attorney 2024am writing this review so that people can know the lack of ethics and business morals from Steve Seligman the partner of the firm while renting me his “beach court villa “ in Anguilla . I paid 15k for a week at his villa. He knew that we had a 78 year old and a 1year old in our 10 family members who hoped to bond in a setting of a open floor plan with a great room and kitchen in the main house . The listing stated “ all bedrooms have a/c” while leaving out that the main house had fans all over the floor to blow the 100 degree heat all over the house . When we arrived it was sweltering and the baby thermometer said unsafe air quality . His staff said “ you will get used to it” . Then we looked outside and saw 4 cats with bowls of food and water . NEVER did it state that there were cats living there . We had 2 people highly allergic to cats . Steve said too bad when I said I wanted a refund. I even said let’s be fair , give me something back . But he said NO! So now I tell the truth !

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
