Hired Law firm 2024Never used a lawyer before because I’m an upstanding citizen. But was forced to when I was illegally terminated after 20 years from ups. This lawyer called me up, and within 6 seconds on phone asked for my credit card number. I said no because I wasn’t sure if it was a scam. Turns out it was a scam the whole time. This lawyer took 8700 dollars from me and I didn’t even get to do a rebuttle against all the lies that ups came back with. It was a terrible situation only to get worse by this fraud of a lawyer. Never met him, he didn’t add things that I told him him to. And when ups came back with a rebuttle, he just wanted more money from me. 8700 dollars after I was illegally terminated from ups. This lawyer is as corrupt as politicians. I pray and hope others read this and refrain from using this man. Worst experience of my life !!!!!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
