She serves on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and has held leadership roles including Treasurer, Secretary, and currently CLE director. Nationally, she is active within the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section, serving in leadership roles on the Marital Property Committee. She is also engaged with the Fairfield County Bar Association, Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, Milford Bar Association and other professional organizations dedicated to advancing the practice of family law.
She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for ten consecutive years, reflecting sustained professional excellence and peer recognition. Marissa regularly speaks and moderates panels on family law topics and has authored published commentary on the evolving family court landscape.
Marissa is a native Rhode Islander and since a young age, has gravitated towards the study of law, and in particular, Family Law. Marissa earned her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Providence College (Go Friars!), where she studied marketing and sociology and played for the Women’s Tennis Team all four years of her attendance. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Rhode Island (inactive), as well as before the United States Supreme Court.
Outside of her legal practice, Marissa is an avid traveler, tennis player, pianist, and enjoys cooking, an influence of her Italian heritage.

- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
