Stamford Personal Injury Law Firm
Overview
Founded in April 2003, the Law Offices of Wesley M. Malowitz are dedicated to providing personalized, attentive legal services to individuals throughout Connecticut in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation and residential real estate. Firm founder Wesley Malowitz is a very “hands-on” and accessible attorney, preferring to meet with his clients personally and handle their issues, rather than passing his clients off on a secretary or paralegal. phone calls are returned promptly, and clients are invited to drop by at any time to discuss their case. His Stamford, Connecticut office provides clients with a comfortable and personal atmosphere.
We believe that representation in an injury case doesn’t end with the lawsuit. We take our personal injury and workers’ compensation clients from the beginning to the end of their problems, making sure they receive the medical treatment they need, helping with property damage issues and submitting their medical bills to the insurance company.
Wesley Malowitz is licensed as an attorney in Connecticut, New York and Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Stamford-Norwalk Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He received his law degree summa cum laude from American University in 1991. He is licensed to practice in all Connecticut state and federal courts.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
