Hired Law firm 2025★☆☆☆☆ — Predatory, Non-Ethical, and Exploitative — A Warning to Vulnerable Clients If you are in crisis, especially dealing with custody or high-conflict family issues, stay far away from this firm. They present themselves as trauma-informed, but their actions tell a different story: exploitative billing, disorganized communication, and a complete failure to protect parental rights. They charged me nearly $400 per call — including unauthorized ones — with zero follow-up or results. They drained half my retainer before we even got to court, yet failed to inform me of basic legal rights, like where and how I could file for visitation or submit crucial parental declarations. Their negligence delayed my case and left me without proper representation when it mattered most. When I questioned their approach, they deflected and threatened further billing. This is not advocacy. It’s financial and emotional harm. Don’t be fooled by their branding — they are predatory, careless, and entirely unaccountable. Vulnerable families deserve better.

Consulted Law firm 2016-2017Wolf & Shore consulted with me on my divorce. I was being represented by another firm and was not satisfied with their counsel. I decided to reach out to Wolf & Shore for guidance and direction. I felt very comfortable having a team of experienced women to guide me through a difficult process. They helped me navigate the process and get the best possible outcome.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
