Hired Attorney 2020After going through a terrible experience and several attorneys with regards to a child custody case, I had given up hope that I would find somebody that would fight for the safety of my child in court. I was completely distraught when I had emailed Mr. Fox in the middle of the night. I had found his website on the internet and messaged him, and to my disbelief (considering my past experiences) he called me first thing the next morning. He was kind, compassionate, understanding, and he listened to my concerns, without interrupting me, or patronizing me. He offered me hope and wise counsel at a point where I had lost almost all hope. Mr. Fox is an amazing and talented attorney, who knows the law and will represent you in court calmly and professionally. He was able to accomplish what needed to be done in his very first court appearance what no other attorneys were able to do in over six months. Mr. Fox always returned my phone calls and emails, and he always answered all of my questions promptly. His staff is professional and hard-working like he is, and it has been a pleasure to work with them as well. I am eternally grateful to Mr. Fox for his sound, clear, and practical advice, as well as his hard work during one of the worst times of my life. I would highly recommend Mr. Fox to anybody that needs an excellent and effective attorney.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
