Hired Attorney 2021-2023ROBERT SWEETAPPLE IS A DISHONEST AND UNSCRUPULOUS ATTORNEY. BE AWARE. He lied to us.. He betrayed us. He breached our trust. In November 2021, Sweetapple was retained by my husband and me to specifically handle some post-trial procedures on a case brought against us by a con artist who had stolen $1.1 Million Dollars from us after breaching a contract to purchase my husband’s business mortgage banking licenses. Robert Sweetapple was hired specifically by us to undertake the post-trial activities on our case including but not limited to file a 50(B) Motion, request a new trial and file an appeal if necessary. Sweetapple did not perform the services which he was hired to do and paid approximately $110,000 in legal fees by us. Sweetapple failed to competently proceed with the prosecution of our case. We lost the chance for a retrial and appeal due to Robert Sweetapple’s failure to preserve our case for appeal and ended up with a $2.5 Million Dollars Judgment. ROBERT SWEETAPPLE IS UNTRUSTWORTHY, THUS I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USES HIS SERVICES NOR HIS LAW FIRM.

Hired Attorney 2021-2024In November 2021, Robert Sweetapple was retained by my husband and me to specifically handle some post-trial procedures on a case brought against us by a con artist who had stolen $1.1 Million Dollars from us after breaching a contract to purchase my husband’s business mortgage banking licenses. Robert Sweetapple was hired specifically by us to undertake the post-trial activities on our case including but not limited to file a 50(B) Motion and a new trial request on the case. Robert Sweetapple did not perform the services which he was hired to do and paid approximately $110,000 in legal fees by my husband and me. Robert Sweetapple failed to competently proceed with the prosecution of our case. During the time of Sweetapple’s engagement he did almost nothing in furtherance of our interests, we lost the chance for a retrial and appeal due to Robert Sweetapple’s failure to file the appropriate post-trial motions to preserve our case for appeal thereby leaving us without a remedy for relief. Knowing in advance we stood no chance at appeal due to Sweetapple’s failure to preserve our issue for appeal, Sweetapple then neglected our appeal case and missed all crucial deadlines. We, of course, lost the appeal. That was no big surprise to Sweetapple. Robert Sweetapple’s failure to preserve our appeal by filing the 50(b) motion and asking for a new trial during those crucial 30 days following the jury verdict failed below the standard of care of attorneys. By failing to properly preserve our issue for appeal after the trial within the allotted time which Robert Sweetapple was hired to do and paid for by us, Robert Sweetapple deprived us from the relief we could have obtained on appeal. We ended up with a $2.5 Million Dollars judgment against us. Robert Sweetapple owed us a duty of care arising from the attorney-client relationship, he failed that duty. Robert Sweetapple not only breached our agreement but he failed to represent us with due care. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE SERVICES OF ATTORNEY ROBERT SWEETAPPLE AND HIS LAW FIRM TO ANYONE.

Hired Attorney 2021-2024This is a ZERO STAR review by me for this attorney based on my personal experience with this lawyer and his Law Firm. I am still in shock how he mishandled our case which we entrusted in his care. He betrayed our trust. In November 2021, he was hired as our attorney to handle the post-trial activities on a civil lawsuit brought against me and my husband by a lunatic thief and con artist. He failed to timely proceed with the prosecution of our case after being retained and paid a large sum by us. During the time of his engagement he did almost nothing in furtherance of our interests, we lost the chance for a retrial and appeal due to his failure to file the appropriate post-trial motions to preserve our case for appeal thereby leaving us without a remedy for relief. He neglected our case and missed all crucial deadlines on the case. He simply sat on our case for the crucial 30 days following the trial verdict date and did nothing to protect us or preserve the case for appeal. His failure to preserve our appeal by filing the 50(b) motions and ask for a new trial during those crucial 30 days failed below the standard of care of attorneys and was the proximate cause of our loss of the appeal and ended up with a multi million dollar Judgment against us. By failing to properly preserve the issue for appeal after the trial within the allotted time which he was hired to do and paid for by us, he deprived us from the relief we should have obtained on appeal. He owed us a duty of care arising from the attorney-client relationship, he failed that duty and we suffered irreparable damages as a proximate result of that breach. He not only breached our agreement but he failed to represent us with due care. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USES HIS SERVICES.

Hired Attorney 1996-1999In my opinion he is a lousy attorney. I hired Robert sweetapple when I was buying a commercial property with EPA issues. after two years of litigation I asked Bob 2 make sure the occupational license to operate this property was included in a deal the only thing you did is reduced the price buy 25k and 1% on the interest for 20 years mortgage for the balance but fail to deliver the occupational license mandatory needed to operate my business and then told me to find myself another lawyer who specialize on City issues so I did at the cost of another 50K to obtain an $80 license from the town Boynton Beach. Mrs. Flow contacting me and came to see me at the commercial property after she's been Mister Lambo personal secretary for many years when she was Bood out by his daughter Margaret lembo took over his Empire Mrs. Flow offered to testify on the Shady business going on at Hypoluxo storage 600 units the way they dispose of people's belonging without the proper procedures stealing people's belonging. I drove with her that same day to Bob sweetapple office in Boca Raton but instead of hearing what she had to say and taking her deposition that day he decided to contact the lembo and negotiated a settlement between Keen Flow and the Lembo. I lost my witness that day it is through the Lembo have a much deeper bucket than me. about a year later not being able to open my business and no income my wife decided to file for divorce Robert sweetapple gave the case to his brother-in-law working for him in the same office he represented me in my divorce and decided against my will to put the commercial property in my name after I told him not to. My ex-wife drag the case on till I closed up on the commercial property. the down payment came from my family. I suggested to my attorney put the commercial property in a Family Trust. I end up at the end to lose my house all my pre-marital assets furniture close personal item and all the equity built in, over $100,000 Robert sweetapple took my money but I was told by him in his office I'm not the type of client who can support his lifestyle. Part of the damages settlement in a case with a Lambo's broker Mr.Fernley had to pay $5,000 out of his pocket and his broker insurance paid another $10,000 for wrongdoing. I did get the $5,000 check but I never saw the colir of the $10,000 check. I asked for it but Robert Sweetapple kept the money to this day. Robert's mother would show up and interrupt my meeting witht is brother-in-law to ask me for money to make sure I stay on the top of what was owed to her son. I gave cash to his secretary but refused to give me a receipt for it. His brother-in-law let me know he didn't see eye-to-eye with Bob it was not happy to work there and left the firm. those set back followed me for the rest of my life

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
