Overview
A native Floridian, Jim Holliday was born in Orlando and grew up in nearby Longwood, where he graduated from Lake Brantley High School before going on to Stetson University in DeLand, FL, on a full ROTC academic scholarship. During his college years, Jim honed his leadership skills as Chairman of Stetson’s Orientation Program, Chairman for United Way Fundraisers, and serving as the ROTC Company Commander. He also served on Stetson’s mock trial team and was the social chair of his fraternity. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Stetson University in 1990 and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army, going on to serve in the Transportation Corps, where his superior officers often described him as “an intelligent, motivated, and energetic officer.”
Following the Gulf War, Jim was accepted to Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL. During this time, he interned for the United States Attorney’s office in Tampa and supplied litigation support at the Veteran's Affairs hospital. He was honored with an award for Best Moot Court Brief and "booked" his Torts, meaning that he received the highest grade in his personal injury law classes, going on to graduate from law school with honors in 1994.
Throughout the years, Jim has built a storied reputation as an extraordinary trial lawyer, known for his tireless work ethic and his thorough preparation at trial. In his effort to help injured people in the community, he has demonstrated an unrelenting dedication to finding the truth and delivering justice for his clients.
Jim is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates, Legends Law Society, National Trial Lawyers, American Association for Justice, and the Florida Justice Association. He is also a "Best Attorney" Lifetime Charter Member in Florida, an honor bestowed upon less than one percent of attorneys in America.
