Hired Law firm 2020-2023Saying thank you and leaving this review about Mr. Berke and Melissa simply doesn't seem like enough in expressing how much gratitude I feel for the help they gave me. When many other law firms in town that run fancy commercials on TV turned me away 3 years ago, Mr. Berke accepted my case without hesitation. And all this was in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. For 3 years Mr. Berke and Melissa fought for me and always treated me with dignity and respect. They were patient and kind even as our adversary took their sweet time processing my case. I eventually received far more than I expected and both Mr. Berke and Melissa have my eternal and heartfelt THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!! I am so happy there are still people out there like them!!!!

Hired Law firm 2022Our Family wants to Thank you for the outstanding work you did in handling my Daughters SSDI/SSI Claim. Per, Multiple Doctors who Recommended & encouraged, I became a Court Appointed Co-Guardian Advocate of Person for my Adult disabled Daughter & applied for SSDI/SSI in Jan. 2021 but, despite 100's of pages of Medical/School Records & completion of Forms her Claim was Denied in June of 2021 & Appeal was Denied in Jan. 2022. So, after being told by Multiple Law Firrms that, they couldn't help I then, reached out to Berke Law Firm. The following Day I received a Response from their Legal Assistant Dina Fanora whom advised "Yes they could help" & sent initial forms. Following our return of Forms everything in my Daughter's Case seemed to continue at a whirlwind pace. Legal Assistants Dina & Melissa Burns as well as, Attorney Berke kept in constant contact. My Daughter had a May 2022 Hearing & received a Fully Approved SSDI Claim at her Hearing. Words cannot express our gratitude. Attorney Berke; Dina & Melissa were extremely efficient, professional & dedicated. Their positivity from the start gave us hope & some peace of mind in an extremely stressful & uncertain time. We would 100% recommend Berke Law Firm & would certainly use them again without a second thought. Thank you all again for your hard work & dedication.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
