Paul Showalter - Clearwater, FL

Paul Showalter is the founder of Showalter Law, established in 2022 with a singular mission: to provide skilled, fearless, and principled defense to those facing criminal charges. Since becoming an attorney, Mr. Showalter has exclusively practiced criminal law and built a career grounded in courtroom advocacy and trial excellence.

A graduate of Purdue University in 2008, Mr. Showalter earned his law degree in 2012 and immediately began his legal career with Bob Dillinger, longtime Public Defender for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit. During his time in that office, Mr. Showalter handled the full spectrum of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, representing indigent clients with tenacity and compassion. He developed extensive trial experience early in his career and has since tried numerous cases to jury verdict, earning a reputation for being a prepared and persuasive advocate in the courtroom.

In private practice, Mr. Showalter continues to focus exclusively on criminal law and remains deeply committed to public service. He regularly represents indigent clients when the Public Defender’s Office is unable to do so. His commitment to defending the accused is unwavering, regardless of a client’s background or financial means.

Mr. Showalter is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, the Federal Middle District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is an active member of the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association and is involved in both his church and the local community. Outside of his legal work, Mr. Showalter is a devoted husband, proud father and dog dad.
