I have a mental health disorder and it can be difficult for others to follow what I'm saying or be patient with my limitations, and Latanae and her team were all very kind and patient as we worked on my case. They were very thorough about my supporting materials and advised me well on what documentation I would need to gather to make my case strong. The insurance company was not cooperative and several times attempted to move a legal deadline or argue that they shouldn't have to do something they were required to do. On my own, I would have let them get away with it, but Latanae was always aware of exactly what was required and pushed forward without letting them drag the case out further. Moving as efficiently as possible was so important for us, as I was the primary breadwinner in my family, and we were in real trouble without my disability. Latanae was sympathetic to our situation and did everything in her power to keep the case moving. We were even able to get a settlement that was higher than average because of her hard work. I know it's hard to know who to trust when you're in this situation, but this firm was above-board all the way and I feel they more than earned their fee. Edward Philip Dabdoub is the Managing Partner at Dabdoub Law Firm, a firm created only to help people with disability insurance claims and lawsuits. Mr. Dabdoub focuses his practice on the representation of individuals. He has experience litigating cases in both state and federal court against numerous insurance companies, including Northwestern Mutual, Hartford, Colonial Life, Life Insurance Company of North America (LINA), Liberty Life, Met Life, and more. Mr. Dabdoub also advises clients on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), particularly with respect to disability benefits. He also files claims on behalf of clients entitled to benefits through private or group policies and handles appeals of wrongful denials.
Mr. Dabdoub graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law. While at law school, he was the recipient of the Ambassador Sue Cobb Scholarship. During his last semester in law school, he was authorized by the Florida Supreme Court to practice law as a Certified Legal Intern and vigorously defended the rights of indigent defendants at the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office.
Prior to law school, Mr. Dabdoub earned a Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business, from Florida International University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Miami. Mr. Dabdoub's business background is well-suited for serving the needs of the firm's clients, especially in the context of calculating pre-disability earnings and monthly disability benefits.
He is currently admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida, the United States District Court Southern District of Florida, and the United States District Court Middle District of Florida.
