I was very pleased with this firm. Yes it has taken a while to get my resolution ( 3years) but it was not because of Taxsmith it was our wonderful government and of course the pandemic was the icing! But none the less it was finally completed. I was horrified when I filed my taxes last year to discover that because I had worked a lot of overtime my gross income was about $5000 higher than I expected which meant I had gone over the income limit for the government tax subsidies for my health care,and I would have to pay the IRS $12,900 in addition to the normal taxes that I usually pay!! I was very pleased with not having to deal with the irs personally. Everyone was great working with. Brian oversold me but I'm satisfied with the results. I definitely won't get behind in my taxes again. I didn't like when I asked for some tax advise and was told I would need to consult whoever does my taxes. They were able to get me into a non collectible status with the IRS in 2015, then in 2019, because of a mistake on my part, I again was outside of my noncollectable agreement with the IRS. Angie and the team have helped me (and have expertly prepared my weird and confusing tax returns) for four years, now. Not only have they just plain known how to make things happen, with both the IRS and the California FTB, but they are an incredible group of people. I know full well, from experience, that the IRS and FTB chronically do not listen to me as an individual when I point out their mistakes. When I dealt with those agencies as an individual, before I knew about TaxSmith, they sent me new letters in rebuttal to my documentation that the mistake was theirs. Their letters brought up new issues, which actually represented brand-new mistakes on their part. I didn't get anywhere, and they kept ramping up the interest and penalties in the meantime. In stark contrast, Angie and the team at TaxSmith resolved things for me, over and over, as quickly as the practical workings of the IRS would allow. In the middle of a swamped tax season, one year, I had a side issue (not related to that tax year), that "fell through the cracks" a bit, so I took action to resolve it myself. My action was not correct.
