Hired Attorney 2020-2022After a long six months of minimum communication, ignoring my requests and multiple complaints filed (last one with Florida Bar), my medical providers were settled and then I find a discrepancy of several thousand dollars with my Trust Account Funds. On 11/2/22 I brought this to Mr. Stevens attention and he said he didn’t know what it was ….saw checks issued/voided/reissued. He stated he would have to review but couldn’t give me a timeframe to get back to me. He never did. On 11/14 he emailed my final payout -for incorrect amt. After researching myself I found he overpaid a provider by several thousand dollars, he acknowledged but would not include this in my payout until he recovered the overpayment for Morgan & Morgan. It was his mistake, not mine. My total funds due should not be held. I feel his behavior is unprofessional and unethical. I will be filing another complaint to Florida Bar regarding his behavior and this situation.
