David Evelev has more than 20 years experience defending clients in personal injury, wrongful death, employer liability and professional malpractice cases. He is at home in all Florida state and federal courts, having tried more than 100 cases before a jury. A partner at Alvarez, Sambol & Winthrop, David is also a member of the Illinois and Missouri bars and has represented clients in trial courts in both states.

A competitive triathlete, David knows how to harness his inner drive to win and apply it to legal work on behalf of his clients. "I take a hands-on approach with clients, working very closely with them to define objectives and execute a plan for success," he says. "Making sure the client knows the odds and fully understands what it takes to win at trial is important. It's a little like participating in a triathlon - prepare, focus and finish strong."

David's clients rely on his extensive trial experience and find his capabilities related to managing the costs of litigation to be a valued asset. Over the years, he has focused on issues facing the transportation industry, including carrier and trucking, automobile and rental car liability defense. His broad experience defending clients in criminal prosecution cases is a clear advantage in his current work as defense attorney helping clients prevail in special investigations unit/fraud defense cases. Recognized for his vast legal experience in the commercial transportation industry, David is frequently asked to give presentations on trucking and commercial vehicle litigation, as well as Federal and Florida Department of Transportation regulations and statutes.
