Attorney Information

Overview

Antonio Bayuelo is an associate with the firm, focusing his practice on personal injury matters, including automobile, trucking, boating, and motorcycle accidents, as well as slip and falls, negligent security, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.

Mr. Bayuelo brings a unique background in military intelligence and private-sector analysis to his legal practice. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2010 as a Military Intelligence Soldier and currently serves as a Commissioned Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army Reserve. Over the past decade, he has supported major military commands, including United States Special Operations Command Central, United States Special Operations Command South, United States Southern Command, and United States Army South, where he developed strong analytical, investigative, and writing skills that now inform his legal work.

Mr. Bayuelo earned his Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade College in 2015 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Military Studies, from Florida International University. He later attended St. Thomas University College of Law on a merit scholarship, graduating cum laude and earning Dean’s List honors multiple times. During law school, he was actively involved in the Peter T. Fay Inn of Court, the Business Law Society, and the Federal Bar Association’s Student Division.

While in law school, Mr. Bayuelo interned for the Honorable Tomas Rebull in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and served as a research assistant to a law professor. He also gained practical experience working with law firms in areas including first-party property damage claims, maritime personal injury, business, and real estate law.

Before representing injured individuals, Mr. Bayuelo worked on the defense side, representing insurance companies and their insureds. This experience provides him with valuable insight into how insurers evaluate and defend claims, allowing him to advocate more effectively for his clients.

A Miami native, Mr. Bayuelo is licensed to practice law in Florida and is fluent in Spanish. Outside of his practice, he enjoys golfing, boating, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with his wife and three children.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
