Dustin Tischler - Miami, FL

Dustin Tischler was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, and raised in Spring Lake, New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Florida State University with a B.A. in Finance in 2002 before attending the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree with highest honors in 2006.

While in law school, Dustin received the “Book Award” for most outstanding student in both Advanced Criminal Procedure and Fourth Amendment Search and Seizure Seminar. During this time, he also worked as a certified legal intern with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. Dustin was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and has based his legal practice in Florida ever since.

Following graduation, Dustin accepted a position with the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, where he prosecuted thousands of cases over three years. As an Assistant State Attorney, he tried approximately 40 jury trials, worked countless bench trials, and handled a wide range of criminal matters, including drug trafficking, armed robbery, sexual battery, murder, and driving under the influence arrests.

In 2009, Dustin left the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney to focus on criminal defense and family law. Today, his background as a former prosecutor gives him valuable insight into how criminal cases are built, challenged, and defended.
