Hired Attorney 2022This guy is a scam He is based in Naples and would take a case anywhere (not even showing a lisence) He would never call or answer. Or he would do it only for his convinience. And ones he answered he would answer any other phone call he would get (charging me) He asked 25 times the same questions (and the clock is moving for every second) Then when he had to show up in court he never did. I asked him since 48 hours before who was coming and his LITERAL answer was NO IDEA! Up for now I hire another lawyer and asked to get in touch with Mr Tarnow. Aparently she did and said that he spent 28k on me. Hahaah. Last invoice was 3500 total!!!!!!! This means he spent 25k ish in god knows what WITHOUT EVEN APPEARING IN COURT! Or answering any message or email On top of all this my mother is sick outside the US and he woukdnt care or find me any solution in 3 months. Diacusting human beeing Im still waitting for an answer and a detail of the supposed invoice!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
