Verified ClientHired Law firm 2020-2021They offer FREE consultation in person or over the phone. I received a phone call from Stefanie to confirm my appointment with one of their lawyers. She sounded so welcoming on the phone, like you are a family friend that just called. Very kind, courteous and professional. It was a great start! The next day I was able to speak with Attorney MaryElizabeth. I must say, I wasn't expecting to feel so at home, warm and felt like I was speaking to a friend I haven't seen in years. That is the feeling that I was looking for that other Law Firms do not possess or lack of I guess. That comfortable feeling of telling all of your financial hiccups and misfortunes without feeling stupid and they listened very well without judgement or interruption. Attorney Dowell was so kind, precise, and very professional. She made me feel very at ease and understood my situation perfectly. I then made a solid choice to hire Badgley Law Group to represent me and file Chapter 7. I went to their office with my mask and met them all in person. They were very welcoming, polite, kind, courteous and made me feel not so pathetic. If I could give them 10 STARS I would! For Chapter 7, 100% honesty is key as well as trust, so I cannot stress this enough that you will need to be completely honest with this Law Firm if you wish to be helped. If you are the type to lie about your assets, or hide or conceal them then no Law Firms or Attorney will be able to help you. You will be digging yourself into more troubles. Once all is understood and have agreed to represent you, you will be given a needed document checklist to bring the next time you meet them [2nd meeting], and complete your client workbook. These important tools will help you gather all of the information they need to prepare your petition. All you have to do is to make sure you don't miss a single information. Follow their instructions and you will be fine. They are very organized. Arrive at the 2nd Meeting without being late and make sure you have all of the documents with you including your Client workbook filled out, and the Needed Documents Checklist completed. There is no other way to do this so to make your situation and petition to go smoothly follow their instructions. They will keep their word and help you to the very end so with mutual respect please do your part by following their instructions 100%. I guarantee you from my solid experience with Badgley Law Group they are worth every penny! They aren't like some big corporations where you will get lost in the shuffle. Their services are quite affordable plus they will work with you as well. They know your name and they will remember to know your name and not leave you in the dark confuse or whatever. They are always available to help you with your questions. Rules of Communication is very important to any case so please consider making a courtesy appointment first with Stephanie if you wish to speak with your Attorney and they will make time for you. You can also contact the paralegals as they too are very knowledgeable to help you answer your questions. Tanya is absolutely superb, professional and knows how to get things done, she is the one that worked in preparation of my documents. I met Attorney Jeff Badgley as well and he is so nice, and welcoming. Everyone there are just the purest of gems! I made the best choice in hiring them to represent me. Stefanie has the face of the sun, always offering the best customer service from the moment that you walked in, asking if you'd like anything to drink. They helped me with my case smoothly and everything was clear as water. Attorney Dowell was super great and met all of my expectations! I have nothing but positive praises! I can finally breathe again and start fresh in my financial life. Thank you so much Badgley Law Group!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
