Attorney Information

Overview

Ken Schwartz joined Gordon & Partners in 2023, bringing a new level of experience and expertise to the Workers’ Compensation, Employment, and Appellate Practice divisions within the firm. He brings more than 20 years of experience representing injured workers, employers, and insurance companies in trials and appeals.

Ken is part of the small, select group of Florida attorneys who have been awarded “Board-Certified Specialist” (BCS) status by The Florida Bar and can therefore call themselves “experts” in their fields. Board certification recognizes the attorneys’ special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. This certification process is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification. Established in 1982 by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification helps consumers identify specialists in various areas of law, including Workers’ Compensation Law, where there are fewer than 200 BCS certified practitioners (out of more than 100,000 lawyers in the state). Board-certified lawyers are the only ones permitted by The Florida Bar to say that they have been “Evaluated for Professionalism and Tested for Expertise.” Ken has been Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation Law since 2014.

Ken Schwartz is also “AV Preeminent®” rated by Martindale-Hubbell®. It is the highest peer review legal ability rating that a law firm or individual lawyer can receive, and it is held by only approximately 10 percent of all attorneys. The Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary across the United States.
