Overview
Jay Manuel is a founding partner of Manuel & Thompson, P.A. and a practicing attorney with 35 years of experience. From the very beginning, Mr. Manuel focused his practice on civil trial law and matters involving serious personal injury and wrongful death.
Mr. Manuel earned his law degree from Florida State University College of Law and became a member of the Florida Bar in 1987 and the Alabama State Bar in 1988. He is one of less than one percent of practicing Florida lawyers to earn board certification in Civil Trial Law from the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Manuel is a native of northwest Florida. He is married to Jana Manuel, his high school sweetheart, and they have three children and four grandchildren. When his children were young, he coached youth sports for 13 years in a row. He is a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school in the Children’s Department for many years. He is an outdoorsman and enjoys golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
