Overview
Albert A. Sanchez has practiced law in the Sarasota and Manatee area. His areas of concentration are construction law, real estate law and business law.
Born in Tampa, Florida, he graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida with High Honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. He received his undergraduate degree with High Honors from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Florida where he was Articles Editor for the Law Review.
From 1998 through 2014, in addition to representing select clients, he acted as managing partner of multiple commercial and residential developments and construction projects in areas including St. Armand's Circle, downtown Sarasota, Palmer Ranch and Lakewood Ranch.
Mr. Sanchez is Board Certified in Business Litigation and a Certified Building Contractor from 2012 through 2020 in the state of Florida and a member of ABA Forum on Construction - Divisions for Construction Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Contract Drafting.
Mr. Sanchez was a two-term member from 2018 through 2024 of the Florida Supreme Court Business and Contracts Jury Instruction Committee.
Mr. Sanchez is a member of the Florida Bar Business Law Section, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Trial Lawyers Section.
Mr. Sanchez is the 2024-2025 Chair of the Business Law section of the Sarasota Bar Association.
Awarded the 2005 Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida, Mr. Sanchez has been an avid supporter of the University of Florida. He has been a member of various boards of charitable organizations including The Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota where he was awarded the Outstanding Board Member of the year in 2007.
While his sons were players, he coached Little League baseball for four years, All-Stars for three, and served as a board member of the organization.
Mr. Sanchez has been married to Carolyn since 1981 and is the proud father of three children, Kate, Harrison, and Colin.
