Verified ClientHired Law firm 2024Windsor Law LLC provided me with excellence across the board. They were professional, highly skilled, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this firm, especially if you need to solve a complicated legal problem. They are EXCELLENT! I reached out to Windsor Law with a rather atypical issue that required discretion, sound strategic guidance, and prompt legal action. Fortunately, I was in extremely capable and trustworthy hands with Windsor Law - as their team helped me to strategically navigate the complexities within education law, parental rights, and civil litigation. My discussions with Jane Windsor and Mitch Teitelbaum provided so much value across the board, even providing a sense of comfort in what otherwise felt like a sea of chaos. They provided multiple options for paths forward for my consideration, which allowed for me to clearly see that Windsor Law puts people first (and they don’t just string along clients for financial gain). Instead, they are deeply interested in solving the problem at hand so that children’s needs are being put first. I experienced excellence from my very first consultation request and throughout all interactions (albeit virtually, in person, via text, or over the phone). Each and every time I reached out to the firm, they made themselves available, proving that I could count on their team to be there for me during my time of need. Also, the preparation they provided prior to my hearing was extraordinary! This firm is truly exceptional. Thank you Windsor Law.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
