Hired Law firm 2020-2021My name is Terry Downs. I’m with Pro carting experience in St. Petersburg Florida. I’ve been here 14 years. My landlord destroyed an entire city Block and sued me from millions of dollars he lost in judgment for fraud inducement to sign a $3 million lease. He appealed it. I hired Jason Lambert from Hills and ward Jason Lambert 1 My pellet case at the same time Mike Beltrán of Florida House speaker Harvard graduate Ron DeSantis friend files a lawsuit judge Thomas Ramberger said should’ve never been filed. It was a legal quagmire Clearwater court should’ve caught a companion cases but Jason Lambert from Hills and Ward missed a deadline from summary judgment got $150,000 property taxes, summary judgment awarded against me that was already denied in a previous lawsuit missed the deadline got a writt of possession against my business where the police came out and took my keys and they seize my assets. He did not know there was no 24 hour notice for commercial. The judge luckily reverse his decision for the writt button force property taxes already denied Jason Lambert then wanted $100,000 to go to court on a KC already one in a pallet and lost because he was a sorry lawyer Dismore law firm he previously worked for took me with him to hills and Ward just so they wouldn’t have responsibility and then dumps me. Do not use this man or his firm so yes you heard me right I want judgment for fraud and inducement to ruin my property till 2030. Jason Lambert won the pellet case and it loses the exact same case by missing deadlines not protecting me or my family and then quitting after charging me hundreds of thousands of dollars, even his own law firm he worked for wrote off my bill. I filed a bar complaint. He still wouldn’t take responsibility for what he did.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
