Hired Attorney 2021-2022Ms. Taylor assisted me with my divorce a few years ago. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable of the law, she also takes the time to listen to concerns and patiently addresses them point by point. She once told me that the people that hire her also almost always going through some of the toughest times of their lives, and she takes that into account when working them in a compassionate manner. While my case was not a difficult one, Ms. Taylor came highly recommended for her expertise in navigating complex matters involving high net worth individuals, divorces involving businesses, and custody/parenting plan disputes. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a family law attorney.

Consulted Attorney 2016Although I ultimately wasn’t able to hire Ms. Taylor because my divorce needed to be handled in a different state, she was an invaluable resource during a very confusing and stressful time. My situation was somewhat complicated, as my ex-husband and I were living in different states, and the state where I resided had particularly challenging divorce requirements. From our first conversation, she took the time to understand the circumstances and clearly explain my options. She helped me navigate the legal complexities, understand which jurisdiction made the most sense, and identify the steps needed to move the process forward as efficiently as possible. What stood out most was her willingness to help, even knowing I wouldn’t ultimately become a client. She was knowledgeable, patient, honest, and incredibly generous with her time. The guidance she provided saved me countless hours of research and uncertainty, and gave me the confidence to pursue the right path. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable attorney who genuinely cares about helping people find solutions.

Hired Attorney 2016-2021Ashley represent my child and I while we were experiencing family law issues with my child’s father. Please find yourself a better lawyer. For years we suffered, and abuse continued until CPS got involved. Find yourself a more compassionate Attorney. Not someone who cares if she wins or loses

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
