Overview
Jim Wilson was born in Tampa in 1966 and raised in Dade City, Florida. He graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in 1988, where he served as President of the Interfraternity Council and President of the Jasons Senior Menβs Honorary. He earned his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991 and was a member of the Moot Court Team.
Admitted to The Florida Bar in 1991, Mr. Wilson began his legal career in Tampa, focusing primarily on insurance defense and personal injury law. He later returned to Dade City and became a partner at Johnson, Auvil, Brock & Wilson, where he concentrated on representing personal injury clients.
Mr. Wilson has tried jury cases in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties, has been involved in several published appellate decisions, and has argued before the Second District Court of Appeal.
He is admitted to The Florida Bar and is a member of the Florida Justice Association and Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association. He has also earned Martindale-Hubbellβs AV rating, its highest distinction for legal ability and ethical standards.
