Kathryn Lynch has been practicing family law in Tampa, FL since 2012. Ms. Lynch is a dedicated and compassionate attorney who works hard to protect the rights of her clients. Kathryn's goal is to represent every client with care, compassion, and attention to detail.

Ms. Lynch is trained in the Collaborative Divorce process and is a member of Next Generation Divorce, a group of local collaborative divorce professionals who help resolve divorce and other family law matters through a non-litigated, peaceful, and respectful team-based approach. Ms. Lynch strongly believes that the collaborative divorce process a much healthier alternative to litigation. In a collaborative divorce, both parties and counsel commit themselves to resolve differences fairly, equitably, in a respectful manner without resort or threat of resort to the courts. Borth spouses and attorneys strive to communicate respectfully and constructively with each other to settle legal issues promptly and economically. Collaborative Family Law attorneys utilize a multi-disciplinary network of professionals to provide expertise and advice as needed on issues relevant to the ultimate settlement of the case. Kathryn Lynch is also a member of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals is Florida's statewide organization of lawyers, financial, and mental health professionals whose mission is to guide families to peaceful divorce using the Collaborative Divorce Process.

Ms. Lynch is a fourth generation Floridian and is an active participant in the Family Law legal community. She is a member of the Florida Bar and specifically the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Marital & Family Law Section, the Young Lawyers' Division and the Collaborative Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Ms. Lynch has been elected to the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Marital and Family Law Section Executive Council for the 2017-2018, 2018-2021, and 2021-2024 terms. Kathryn is also a member of the Stann Givens Family Law Inn of Tampa which is an organization of family law judges, general magistrates, hearing officers, attorneys, and law students, who are dedicated to professionalism, ethics, civility, and excellence in the practice of family law. Ms. Lynch is a member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals, which unites professionals in the legal, financial, mental health and residential industries who serve divorcing clients.

Ms. Lynch was selected as a 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star. She also serves as a pro bono attorney with Crossroads for Florida Kids, which is a non-profit organization that represents poor children and young adults in the Hillsborough County area.

Ms. Lynch earned her Juris Doctor from American University's Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. During law school, Ms. Lynch spent a summer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, volunteering with local youth living in poverty. While she was a student attorney in Washington College of Law's Women and the Law Clinic, she fought to represent low-income clients in family disputes in D.C. Superior Court with a focus on how clients' gender, race, nationality, disability, and economic status affect their experiences in the legal system and within the lawyer-client relationship. Kathryn Lynch also advocated for the educational rights of children with disabilities in Washington D.C. and Maryland under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act. She represented the parents of children with disabilities such as autism, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances and worked with school districts to ensure they received the appropriate Special Education services. After she graduated from law school, Ms. Lynch started her professional career at the US Department of Energy as a Freedom of Information Act Analyst in the Loan Programs Office before moving to Tampa.
