Hired Attorney 2022-2024Choosing this law firm has been a huge mistake. I hired Morgan & Morgan 1.5 years ago. I was assigned Evan Rosenberg as my attorney. I have experienced nothing but frustration with this firm/lawyer, from day one. Poor Communication I have been assigned FIVE case workers over the 1.5 years with Mr. Rosenberg. Each of them calls to introduce themselves, apologizes for the poor communication on my case from the past worker, makes promises that they are better - then they disappear. You have to chase with phone calls and emails for days/weeks before you get a response. A manager at the firm sent me an email stating that I needed to communicate through the client portal. Why can't I speak with a live person about my case? After a year of this I went to Mr. Rosenberg, directly. He was "smooth", claiming to have given me his personal phone number, agreeing that things were being mishandled, claiming they would do better - then, he vanished like a ghost. When I called him a month later, using the number he gave me, he responded with a text asking if I was a client. I confirmed and gave him my name. To this day he has not responded. High Contingency Fee Injury law firms charge contingent fees of 33 1/3 % to 40% of recovery. My small case is being charged 40%. Mr Rosenberg, in the ONE conversation that I had with him, stated that he was going "to see if" he could reduce the fee due to the mismanagement of my case by case workers. When I spoke to one of the case workers a month later she wanted me to prove that he said it. She asked if I had it in writing. Of course I didn't, and she knew that. However, THE NEXT case worker stated that she would "see if" she could have the rate reduced. Still today, 1.5 years later, I have no confirmation on what my rate is. Poor Quality Work I hired Morgan & Morgan, with Evan Rosenberg leading the case, in July of 2022. Between the time that I hired the firm and the time that anything was sent to the defendant, was close to a year. They move only AFTER I forwarded an e-mail from my insurance carrier stating they were going to the defendant for subrogation. They had asked for my medical bills for months. I had called case workers requesting that they address this. NOTHING. Even when I sent my policy to the case worker, it was ignored. The defendant's insurance company almost immediately settled and forwarded a check to Morgan & Morgan. When the case worker called to inform me that a check was received I asked about my insurance company paying the remaining medical bills. The case worker was clueless about my insurance. She stated that she would get back to me. I never heard from her. I was assigned ANOTHER case worker who is NOW pursing my insurance. Very sloppy work. Behaviors While Mr. Rosenberg did not behave negatively in ALL of my experiences, he is responsible for his staff. "Water flows downward." If the behavior is accepted from the top, all stops below will behave the same. I have always been respectful in my communications with Mr. Rosenberg and his staff. My experience with them, however, hasn't been the same. - Mr. Rosenberg offering his personal phone number, then dismissing my call a month later. - Case workers being argumentative and speaking over me. - Case worker lying about sending preliminary payment - I never received it. It has been 1.5 years ON A SMALL CASE, and still, no resolution. My suggestion to people seeking an injury lawyer is - DON'T go to Morgan & Morgan. Their mantra about being "for the people" is a lie. I can't speak for all the lawyers at the firm, but the one that I was assigned (Evan Rosenberg) has been horrible. There are many lawyers out there. Skip over this firm and DON'T ACCEPT THIS LAWYER.
