Consulted Law firm 2020I would not hire this lawyer if he was the last Lawyer standing on the earth. Called for a consultation he called me back. Talked down to me and let me knew immediately he was a jerk wad and that I could not hire him please do not call him there are so many wonderful lawyers out there that do great work and are decent people believe it or not scum of the earth!!!

Hired Law firm 2015-2016Larry handled a case for me 4-5 years ago. It was handled with the utmost care and professionalism and I've kept in touch with Larry once or twice since. Recently, it came to my attention that the county had not handled my case as they were meant to on their own...on his next trip to the courthouse, Larry called me personally and filed the necessary paperwork. I am so thankful that I found him in my time of need and that he's taken care of me ever since.

Hired Law firm 2018I hired Mr. William C. Head from Kohn & Yager, LLC six months ago to defend me as I was charged with a violent felony that quite possibly could have made ended my career. One of my friends recommended me to refer Kohn & Yager, LLC and they proved the best defense attorney for me, they kept me out of jail and were very supportive in my case every step of the way words can’t fully describe in complements about Sir William, I am very grateful to Kohn & Yager, LLC. Thank you sir!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
