Hired Attorney 2018-2020Please I REPEAT Please do not hire this ex prosecutor now lawyer for ANYTHING!. I mean not even a traffic ticket!. She pressured my baby brother at the age of 18 to take a plea deal for something he continuously said he DID NOT DO!. My brother is now freeeeeeeeeee a year later no more going to court.. no more seeing a probation officer.. NOTHING.. no jail time.. NOTHING.. y’all please make another choice!. She will not defend you at all!. She still sitting around the big round table sipping coffee with her prosecutor friends!. SHE IS FOR THE STATE AND NOT THE PEOPLE! She only received half stars cause I had to!. Tv

Hired Attorney 2018-2019Gave half a star because zero wasn't an option. She was a prosecutor for years and only spent a short time as a public defender so she could go into private practice. Smyrna Public Defender advised me to take it to a jury trial but Smyrna doesn't do jury trials had to be bound over to Cobb. When Judge Jason Fincher (former Deputy Assistant Solicitor himself) finally assigned Lindsay she intimidated me into taking a plea I imagine because a Jury trial was more than she felt like doing. I could see she was buddy-buddy with the solicitor and judge.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
