Overview
Mrs. Amanda Brookhuis is a Partner working in our Atlanta office. Amanda comes to the Kirby G. Smith Law Firm from her solo-practice in Atlanta, Georgia, where she accumulated substantial experience in various legal fields. She previously worked for a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Atlanta area, working closely with the Georgia Department of Human Services. During her time in law school Amanda clerked for Judges in both State and Superior Courts in Fulton County, Georgia.
While Amanda has experience in several litigation areas, she is drawn to employment law because of the high level of personal interaction with clients and the opportunity to focus on real people and real emotions.
Amanda was born and raised in Washington Court House, Ohio. She moved to Atlanta in 2009 with her husband, who is also an attorney. In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, running, playing drums, and spending time with her family.
