Licensed to practice since 2017, she joined Hurley Elder Care Law in 2018 after working at a small firm in her hometown of Canton, Georgia, where she gained invaluable courtroom experience as a criminal defense attorney, as well as extensive experience with estate planning. Since joining Hurley Elder Care Law, she has proven herself an indispensable member of the team, and she has received consistent top rankings and endorsements from her peers, along with many testimonials and referrals from her satisfied clients.
A leader in her field, Mrs. Ghorley has published articles and conducted many lectures and seminars across her region on a variety of legal topics related to estate and life care planning. She has also served as past Secretary and now President-Elect of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (Georgia Chapter), and she is an active member of the Blue Ridge Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and Cherokee Triad S.A.L.T., among her other professional affiliations.
Mrs. Ghorley received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and she obtained both her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. She holds her certification in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Mrs. Ghorley is also committed to serving her community through volunteer work. She was recognized as a Public Interest Fellow by her law school and continues her volunteer work as an active member of the Service League of Cherokee County.
