Verified ClientHired Law firm 2024-2025At a time when everything was so frustrating I made the call and Mr. Ellis calmly answered every question I had and I had a lot of questions. I made the decision to hire him and his firm to help navigate me through a worker’s compensation claim that the company I worked for was trying to dispute. I was introduced to Henry DeGive and he was going to handle my case. He was very polite and helpful every step of the way. I had an injury to my ankle and calf and knee. I was not helped by my employer ( a big grocery and retail chain) and even my immediate manager who I kept informed daily was against me and my claim. I felt discouraged and thought I was just doomed. Henry came through for me and my case was settled out of court. I had a deposition but never had to go to court. I’m so grateful that I decided to make the call and hire an attorney and I made the right call. Margaret is Henry’s assistant and she is a miracle worker and a true God send. From helping with doctors I could see to finding the right place for physical therapy and testing, she went above and beyond for me. I am so thankful for good care and knowledge of the law that I found in the Perry Ellis law firm. I’m so grateful for all the hard work and support. I highly recommend this practice and if you find yourself in a situation where you need an attorney or a question answered about the situation trust me, you need to give them a call. I will miss them so much and if I ever need help with anything else like this I know I will be calling them back. Great response time, smart, and very considerate of your situation this is the best attorney you could possibly find.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
